So, you have done your research, you know which banner displays you need and what size, so what now? Now you need a design for your displays. Something that will communicate facts about your company to a prospective customer who doesn't know a thing about you or your products or services. The visual design of your display stand is more important than any other element of your display. Whether your stand is very basic or very elaborate, it will be totally wasted if the design of the banner print doesn't work well.
A banner stand graphic needs to achieve a number of things:
1. Your company brand
The graphics on your display need to reinforce your business branding so people remember your business at a glance. Logos, corporate colours and photos must be used effectively to complement your business image fully. Also, the branding must translate your core principles because your displays are the visual embodiment of your business.
2. Information
What use is a lovingly designed banner stand if there is no discernible information about your business? Your display stands need to let possible clients know what it is you do in a way that is easy to interpret in a few short seconds. Often, banner stands are seen at exhibitions by passing visitors who may not stop at your stand unless they spot something that relates to them. This also applies to the next point.
3. Visual Impact
If there are many different businesses with displays at your event, then you need to be distinctive. The way to achieve this is to have powerful, high impact designs that people will remember. They don't have to be garish but they should create an impact with people who may not otherwise pay your stand any mind. Visitors at trade shows tend to wander until they spot something that catches their eye. You may have the most life changing products ever, but if nobody knows you exist, how are you going to make your business successful?
If the design of your display graphics satisfies all of these points, then you should be almost guaranteed to have a superb exhibition. If you are designing the stand's graphics yourself then you should be able to create something that you feel reflects your business. If you are using a graphic designer, then you should attempt and effectively convey what you want the artwork to look like. The key is communication. If you have images that you want your designer to use, make sure they are of a good enough resolution to be used at the scale needed. Provide all of your necessary logos in a print ready vector format. If you supply text, supply it without the need for amendments the first time. Persistently making tweaks, changes and amendments can strain the relationship between a client and designer.
to summarise, your stand's graphics need to be eye-catching, informative, and effective at reinforcing your company's branding. If you are successful then you should see a lot more buzz about your company and an increase in revenue from any events you attend.
