A quality keyword search can take a few hours to complete, but the excitement of finding a few excellent keywords that are searched often with little competition is what you really need to ensure your success.
Tip #2. Check out the competition.
Once you have your great keyword phrases, you want to have a look at who is holding the top spots in that keyword phrase. This is the competition and you’ll want to see how possible it is to improve on their placing. Taking on the big boys like amazon and ebay is not going to be an easy task, so you’ll want to reconsider your keywords if the big boys are holding the first 10 slots, but if not, you might just be able to top the competition with your own.
Tip #3. Relevancy is really important.
If you have a great keyword phrase and the competition look beatable, you want to ensure that you have the very best keyword relevancy that you possibly can. If you can include your keyword in the title of your website or your landing page information, then you are more likely to get a higher ranking in that keyword phrase. Make your information as relevant to that particular keyword phrase to get the best results and then make sure that the search engines know that you’ve had your say.
