To develop your website you will need to do three things:

Before setting up a domain you need to decide what to get. More frequently domain name includes company name or just some keywords that are describing future website niche.
Hosting.
Next step is to purchase website hosting services. Hosting is usually offered by the domain providers for an extra charge, sometimes it can be free, but usually it’s not. Meanwhile, paid web hosting services allow you completely manage your website.
Choose website builder.
Once you made all steps mentioned above, you can go further and design your dream website. There are many free site building tools you can use to create your website. For example you can use content management system (CMS), such as Joomla, Drupal etc. There is a wide range of free CMS templates available for use, just make some research on the Internet.
You can find a blog provider (like Wordpress, Google Blogger etc.) that will suit your needs. Internet is quiet rich with variable of free designs or templates for blogs. You can even use Wordpress system to create a self-hosted blog.
