Sutton Coldfield, United Kingdom (December 23, 2009) - Leading online supplier of quality personalised and private registration plates, Platinum Plates, would like to alert customers about the 10 series of number plates that are available through the DVLA.
From September 2001, the style of number plates in the United Kingdom changed to include two letters (the local memory tags), two numbers to indicate the year of registration which are age identifiers, and three other chosen letters for the random element.
This will change from March 2010 where the new age identifier will be '10', and will change to '60' from September 2010. The identifier will change to '11' from March 2011 and to '61' six months later. The DVLA say they are going to continue using this method until all possible avenues with it are exhausted. Platinum Plates say they are on hand to answer any customer enquiries if they encounter any confusion with the changes.
"It's always interesting to see what changes the DVLA implement with number plates every time a new decade comes around, and 2010 is no exception," commented Tim Wheeler of Platinum Plates. "Despite the changes, we are still able to offer personalised number plates and DVLA number plates to enquiring customers, and will be on hand to answer any questions they may have regarding their car registration plates."
