Winter season is one of the most dangerous seasons for your face skin. Your facial skin becomes dry, sensitive and chapped. So you need to take extra care of it in winter, and keep your skin healthy.

The most important thing you required to do is moisturizing. When you have a bath don't forget to control waters temperature, it should not be too hot. Also avoid hot water to wash your face. Use cold water to wash your face especially in morning is advisable. This will awake your skin.

Don't use water base moisturizer because it contains lots of water in it, which might cause freezing on your face when you go outside. Oil based moisturizer are advisable.

You should use scent free soaps and washes, also avoid chemical which adds scents and color as this are the reason for the skin dryness.

For better result apply moisturizing cream immediately after you wash and while skin is dry. Use the moisturizer which contains vitamins. Use the dermalogica nutritional moisturizer daily. But the best way to hydrate and keep your skin healthy is to drink plenty of water.

Also don't forget to protect your skin when you are out. Because many people think that sun is dangerous only in summer season but that's not true. The snow reflects the sunlight so you must wear sunscreen even in winter. Remember that sun ages your skin. Use moisturizer with SPF 15 or SPF 30. Your makeup should also be protected by sun.

In winter don't forget to protect your lips as it is the most sensitive part in your face. If you want to have healthy lips then do not lick or bite them. To protect lips from being chapped in winter season, always use lip balm or lipstick with sunscreen. Choose the lip balm which contains propolis.

Once in a week, use moisturizing or nutritional masks. You can buy them from beauty shop or pharmacy or you can also use home made mask.

These are the simple basic tips to be followed for skincare in winter season.
