Finally only seven books made the shortlist which includes the late journalist Marie Colvin’s book On the Front Line. A fearless American journalist, Colvin deftly covered conflict regions around the world, and the book consists of a selection of her work.
Colvin was killed while reporting on the Syrian uprising in February 2012. She was 56. BookChums salutes the raw courage of Marie Colvin and hopes that her journalistic spirit finds voice in upcoming reporters.
