Dos and Donts to Craft an Effective Pawn Shop Logo Design

Creating a brand mark for a business that thrives by giving small loans for commodities can be a tricky business.

The first difficulty is assuring people that your business is legitimate and genuine. Secondly, you want to gain people’s confidence but let them know that you are professional and proficient at the same time so that they do not try to outsmart you.

So, before you go ahead with crafting your own pawn shop logo design, make sure that you go through the below guidelines of dos and don’ts so that you don’t end up making the same mistake that other unsuccessful companies  have.

Dos:

Instead of using images of gold coins and money in your brand mark, use images that suggest wealth:

If you want to create an impression of professionalism and sophistication then it should be reflected in your trademark. For that, subtlety is the key. So instead of using gold coins or money, use images that suggest wealth subtly; for example you can use an image of a diamond or substitute a letter in your company name with the symbol of dollar or euro.

Use straight fonts for your trademark to create a professional aura:

To further enhance the aura of professionalism and proficiency, try to use a straight type face with dark colors. Scripted fonts give the impression of innovation and informality while straight fonts show that you mean business. If you think that this will make your emblem too boring then place your company name at an alignment and combine it with an image or an illustration.

Don’ts:

Do not create a trademark that is intimidating and menacing:

Your brand mark should encourage trust towards your company which is why images that are intimidating and menacing should be avoided. Do not use images of pirates or sly snakes in your emblem.

Do not use the bold red lighted sign that says ‘pawn shop’:

Signs with red lights may be easy to create and attractive at sight but they look cheap and illegitimate. They may be suitable for a small bar in a locality that attracts low class audience but not for a business that aspires to be successful and corporate.

Do not use cartoon images of people with gold coins or bags of money:

If you online surf shop logo designs for pawn shops, you will see that many small local businesses make the mistake of using cartoon images of people and money in their brand mark. This creates a highly unprofessional look for the trademark that is also immature.

In conclusion, make sure that you follow the above mentioned dos and don’ts so that the brand image that you create for your company is professional, trustworthy and legitimate.
