They are very effective tools that help to enhance your business services. These services help in collaborating among the team members to bring about better work results. They facilitate management of contents, implementing various business strategies and shares necessary information with the employees to help them work better.
sharepoint services was first released at the same time when Office XP came into the markets. They are a part of the Microsoft front page. They now run today on the version of Windows XP and Windows 2000. Later on a redesigned version called the Sharepoint Services 2.0 came up as an upgrade to the previous. The previous version also known as the STS stored the documents in files while the metadata’s were kept in the database. But in the upgraded version the database is used for storing both the documents and the metadata’s.
There is a kind of service called the software as a service which helps the various businesses reduce the cost of its functioning. These are built in the local area of network systems of the computers and functions behind the firewall and can be also activated over the internet. The SAAS can be enabled in your computers by your license provider by paying a certain amount of money. You pay as much as you use thus it is also called software on demand.
