"Stellwagen Bank" in Massachusetts (MA) is known for its spectacular Cod fishing trip, and has proved consistently successful. Cod and Haddock fishing aboard fishing charters is a great corporate or family outing in MA. The Cod fishing in MA is usually done in charters which can accommodate 6 people. There are Cod fishing charters that can accommodate form 2 to 20 and more people also. They use the finest fishing equipments available for Cod fishing. They use conventional reels which are 120 to 250 ft of water, jigs or bait. MA fishing attracts thousands of anglers to Cape Cod fishing regions every year. The average catch for the past 25 to 30 years in Cod fishing trip for 6 people has been between 500 lbs to 1000 lbs of fishes like Cod, Pollock, Haddock, Halibut, Wolf fish and Monkfish. One may encounter Sharks, Tuna or Whales while Cod fishing. The best time of the year to go Cod fishing MA is March, April, May, June, July, August, September and October. The best Cod catches for the last year were in March, April and May. Normally March and April are 90% Cod and 10% other fishes. While Cod fishing in May, June, August, September, October and November are 70% Cod and 30% other fishes. Cod fishing MA trips usually catch a variety of excellent eating white-meat fish which include: Cod, Pollack, Halibut, Wolffish, Monkfish, Cusk, Haddock and other fish.

The Cod fishing Charters are 10-11 hours trip from dock to dock. The fishing waters are around 1 to 1 ½ hours from the dock each way and the fishing time that you get is about 7 to 8 hours. Cod fishing MA can be the most thrilling and adventurous trip to remember for a lifetime. Seeing the size of the huge fishes will leave you amazed and you get a chance to test your physical strength with these creatures of the sea. Cod fishing MA is usually done in big fish and deep sea charters.
