I began doing the Zumba fitness classes at my gym and was so enamored of them that I wanted to do them at my house. When researching the Zumba video workout, I came accross the Total Body Transformation set and bought it. I appreciated it, but it was not like the Zumba Beginners class that I took at the gym.
The first Zumba Video is a beginner DVD that shows you how to do the steps, and includes a 20 minute workout. Although you may be a pretty trim, energetic person, I can assure you that you'll break into a sweat in no time with only the instructional DVD. They break each one of the steps into "easy", "medium" and "hard" so that you can be taught the steps and be established enough with them to move up to see the other Zumba video workout dvds.
I ended up researching some more reviews found a ton that were extremely forthcoming. That was truly important to me because, here I thought I knew the steps from taking lessons at the fitness center, but I in reality didn't. If I do go back to lessons at the sports center, the beginner DVD will really help me look like a pro.
The next Zumba video is the 20 minute workout, which is also a first-class beginner DVD, but I suppose it could get old when you get good at the moves.
My favorite is the Zumba Live DVD is which is in all probability best described as a freestyle. There is no set moves, as each person is just jamming to the music. This is where you get to put your desired moves to the test and burn considerable amounts of calories. Beto, the originator of Zumba, has a high energy to him, but is difficult to understand at times. Good thing though that the extra instructors are fantastic and simple to abide by.
I also believed it was especially different than my classes. I was expectant to hear some of the same music and routines that I see in the live classes I attend, but it's unique. I wouldn't attest that it's better or worse, just different than I had estimated.
One issue I found was that 'The weighted dumbbells "are pretty lame. They are elongated, and not real heavy so I haven't used them until now for the reason that I find it difficult to add one more dimension to these movements still. You want to ensure you have a good distance near your TV if you're going to use these.
As a whole workout routine I would very much recommend the Zumba video workout. Word to the wise though is that I also propose that you wear hip-hop shoes, and as little attire as viable, every time I try to do this wearing a tshirt, it ends up drenched in sweat. Get ready to sweat and work your butt off and you'll be well on your way to having inches of fat goop falling off with all these Latin dances!
