Minnesota
Following a start this season of 1-6 with an overall record of 15-30, Minnesota decides to end it with Tim Brewster. Once that happened, the Gophers ended up dropping a 33-21game with Penn State.
Their only win occurred against Middle Tennessee in the first week. The rumor is that once Nebraska decided to move into the Big Ten, they did so knowing that they would be placed within the same division as Minnesota. Could it be that in the short term they may have been up to something?
UNLV
UNLV has lost around 30 points in every game except for one this entire season. They currently are ranked as the very bottom in 20 for total defense and offense. Colorado State completed a skid of ten games two weeks ago up against foes of the conference when they conquered the Rebels at 43-10.
Washington State
The last two seasons the Cougs won three games total and so far this season, things aren’t looking much better for this team as they are currently at 1-7.
In their one win, Washington State had been looking as if they were losing in the 4th quarter at 22-7. Something happened and they suddenly were able to muster up a 23-22 win. The only issue is that the win had been over FCS Montana State and they were still outgained in total yards with 407-316.
Participating in the Pac 10 conference along with a great deal of rather high offense certainly isn’t helping, however the Cougars are holding out hope for another win when they play an FBS competitor as they are losing 487 yards each game.
North Texas
After firing Todd Dodge, their head coach with the lowest percentage in the history of the school, North Texas might be anxious this season to win another game.
Recently, they have had a number of injuries and still rank 109 when it comes to scoring offense. At this point, they are just playing while waiting for the coaching situation to be resolved.
New Mexico State
A couple weeks ago when they were up against Fresno State, the Aggies achieved an interesting feat losing yards on all of their initial three offense possessions and now are ranked second to dead last when it comes to scoring offense, third in defense.
