Growing Grass the Green, Healthy Way

We can see grasses growing anywhere around us. We find them in vacant lots and areas that are not even well preserved. With that observation, we can assume that we can cultivate grass easily. But how can we do this? Fortunately there are different methods on how to do this the right way. But you should not assume that all grasses have the same way of cultivation. Though some grass may be of the same variety, these, however, have the same type which means that they have different life cycles.

If you have observed, wild grass grow can anywhere around us. We find them in vacant lots and areas that are not even well preserved. With that observation, we can assume that we can cultivate grass easily. But how can we do this? Fortunately there are different methods on how to do this the right way. But we should never assume that wild grass is the same as cultivated grass. They may be of the same variety but they are of a different class which means their life cycles are completely different from each other.

This is not to say, however, that we cannot grow good grass in our own yards. The following should be of help

 Fertilizers and chemicals – The best time to fertilize your lawn is during fall. This is because this season, the soil is best penetrated which means that this is also the best time to plant. When the grass grows in spring, it will feast on the nutrients you've left for them on the ground. You will get the same tip from any professiona landscaper. Avoid using pesticides and other chemicals because these will adversely affect the growth of grass.

 Mowing process - Observe the height of your grass. If you use a lawn mower, set it to at least 3 to 4 inches in height. Remember that the proportion of the blade is the same as the roots. Doing this will be very effective since the cut grass will immediately fall to the ground which will also serve as your fertilizer.

 Soil testing - The soil should also be tested since there are some components of the soil that may affect the growth of your grass. This is also the way to determine if the soil fits the grass you want to grow. After soil testing, experts would advise you to either add more soil to add more nutrients or apply some kind of chemical or fertilizer which can help.

 Variety of the grass - Today, we can find different types of lawn grass that are cultured. However, each of them has its own characteristic that you need to determine to ensure soil, humidity and temperature compatibility. If you grow the wrong variety, it will be a total waste of time and money.

These are basic considerations you need to make if you want to grow green, healthy grass. For those who are not really into grass wont appreciate all of these. But for those who are passionate about growing beautiful green and healthy grass will surely find this very satisfying.

Get the best lawn fertilizer for your grass but grow it with a genuine interest in the whole process. Not all lawn fertilizer brands and types are the same, though. The best thing to do would be to research on the particular type of grass you want and fertilizers that may be compatible with it.
