FUE Hair Transplant A Scar Free Procedure

It is said that on an average, human beings lose about 10 strands of hair everyday. And at the same time, an almost equal number of hair also grow back, thereby making up for the loss. The problem starts when the loss is much more than the repair. That is when balding starts. The reason for balding could be anything from poor nutrition to excessive and sudden weight loss or due to hormonal changes. One of the prime reasons for balding is BHT.

BHT is a naturally metabolite in our body which forms a wax like substance around the hair follicle. When there is excess production of BHT in our body, it stops the flow of blood to the hair follicles, making them weak and thin. Over the course of time, these hair follicles start falling resulting in baldness. Balding can be very tumultuous often leading to depression in affected patients. But with improvement in technology, new methods of hair transplantation are coming to the fore.

One such method is the Follicular Unit Extraction hair transplant, popularly known as FUE hair transplant. Although it works on the same principle of Follicular Unit Hair transplantation or FUT, the working procedure is much more effective and one which does not leave any scars. In Follicular Unit Hair transplantation, a strip of hair is removed from the donor area which leaves a linear scar on the person’s head. But in FUE hair transplant, individual grafts are removed from the donor area and then transplanted to the affected area.

Because individual grafts are removed and not an entire strip, no scar is left on the head. Although, every thing has a flip side and FUE hair transplant too has it. For one, FUE hair transplant is a very tedious and time consuming process. Because individual grafts have to be removed, it takes the surgeon a lot of precision and hardwork to do the job perfectly. Secondly, everybody cannot afford FUE hair transplant. Because the process is cumbersome, iFUE hair transplant costs almost three times more than follicular unit hair transplantation. But it is worth every penny spent.

Now before you go booking your slot for  FUE hair transplant , you must make sure that you choose a certified practitioner for the job because it is a surgical process and not a technical one. After all, when you are spending so much, you must make sure that it is spent correctly.
