To reach at the top in the result page, websites needs to be optimized in a correct way. This makes the chances of getting business would be higher if the website appears in the first five positions in the result page as, people visit the websites based on that.

Things that one needs to consider while optimizing the website can be pointed as:

• Keywords: The keywords has to be searched properly, based on the keywords, visitors perform search process in the Google. If you really want your website to be on the eye of the visitors, you have to collect all the possible keywords first.

• Title Tag: The title tag needs to be very short and descriptive. Each page of the website should have different content presented in the title tag. Based on that search-engine compares the website text with the title content and provides the ranking.

• Content: You need to write content in a way that it maintains the keyword frequency with the appropriate keyword density that helps the search-engine to give ranking.

• Sitemap: Building a good sitemap is very important for your website. It will really help both the users and the search engine as indexing would be done based on the sitemap by different search engines.

• Link Popularity: It is strongly advisable to participate in exchanging link programs because it will help in increasing the popularity of the link which will help in achieving high ranking.

SEO list of Don'ts:

• Keyword: You should not target overly general keywords because people searches with very normal terms and keeping in mind that general people you need to target the keywords.

• Cloaking: This mechanism needs to be avoided because that needs to know the IP address of the search engine spider or like that. If you are violating this concept then your website would be penalized or banned if you caught doing so.

• Flash Files: Always avoid using flash files while designing website. The crawlers can only read into texts not the flash files. So to make website search engine friendly, you should use very less flash files.

• Site Submission: Always submit your website manually and do not go for automatic submission using software. In a long run you might get penalized as this software submits the websites in a monthly or weekly basis.

• Images: If you really want your website to be searched quickly by the search engines then places where usage of images is mandatory and always uses alternate texts on it.
