Much has been written about how the internet is an incredible place, one of the most significant, or THE most significant invention in the whole history of communication. It has very largely made snail mail obsolete. It has speeded up transactions and banking and has made us able to access the latest news and do on line transactions any hour of the day or night.

It is also a massive market place with just about anything that can be sold on sale somewhere and billions of dollars changing hand every day. Some people and some website can make it and make it BIG. EBay was founded in 1995 in San Jose and experienced phenomenal growth going from a 1 man in his garage business to a global and household name in the 15 years. There are many individuals who make a living trading on EBay, as a lot of the marketing is already done. One has only to list an item and one is sure to get 'hits'.

Amazon too was founded in 1995 and look at it now. Not everyone can start a phenomenon like these examples but, with the internet showing no signs of slowing down and eCommerce expanding at an incredible rate there is plenty of opportunity.

BUT - if you are a total novice it is hard to know where to begin.

This is the point of an eBook which Chris Farrell will give you free of charge or any obligation just by signing up. This eBook is a step by step guide on the creation of a website and is appropriately called "Create Your First Website by 3:45 this afternoon". As he points out most other website building guides assume certain basic knowledge and skills and use many esoteric words which, unless you are a potential geek, you are unlikely to understand.

This eBook doesn't do that. It assumes nothing. (Ok it does assume that you can switch the computer on and use a keyboard and mouse but beyond that it assumes nothing.) As an example the book will guide you through every step of the way to doing a download, of registering a domain and if getting a hosting service for your website.

At the outset it is specified that in order to make money off the internet one has to put in the hours of work. NOTHING is going to fall into one's lap. In addition he is not going to tell you what kind of thing it is you should sell or what niche you should try and satisfy.

What this does is show you that you need to create a website and it takes you through a step by step process in creating one. Creating a website is an exciting venture and if you follow the steps he lays out then you too can create your first website within a few hours of starting. From there you can go on to develop the skills required to successfully trade on line. After that you will need to put in the hours of effort but if you do then you too can make a good living off the World Wide Web.

In order to become a name on the internet one needs to create a website.
