album 19. Since then, none of Adele’s tracks have remained
out of Top Two from music charts of any country on the planet.
Adele was born in Tottenham, London on
May 5 1988 to a single teenage mother. At an early age of 4, she
began singing, citing her obsession with voices around. Adele with
her mom, later on moved to West Norwood, South London where her
interest grew in R&B acts of Destiny’s Child and Mary J Blige.
Adele was 16 when her first record as singer-songwriter ‘Hometown
Glory’, a subject of her move to West Norwood was released.
The songstress credits her graduation
school The BRIT School for Performing Arts & Technology for
nurturing her singing skills. Interestingly, Adele was classmates
with popular singers Jessie J and Leona Lewis.
Adele’s mainstream career as a singer
began in 2008 with the release of her debut studio album 19. It was
with this album that Adele gained top positions in UK albums charts.
‘Hometown Glory’, ‘Chasing Pavements’, ‘Cold Shoulder’,
‘Make You Feel My Love’ and ‘My Same’ are tracks included in
19. The songstress’ debut album till date holds record for

It was only last year that Adele’s
second studio album 21 succeeded 19. And, until this
moment, 21 is making and breaking records of its own. In the
UK, 21 received immense success and popularity with hit single
‘Someone Like You’. Since the release of this hit track up to
this day, Adele hasn’t stop reigning music charts worldwide.
For more than 25 weeks, ‘Someone Like
You’ held competition from big names like Foo Fighters, Lady Gaga
and even Beyoncé. Adele only kept slipping to number 2 position and
returned back to No.1 within no time. With ‘Rolling In the Deep’,
Adele became a phenomenon in the US. No Brit singer as yet enjoyed as
much success and fame across the pond as Adele and she’s continuing
to prove herself an exception.
