Warning!

Resistance is futile... The kind of information I am going to share with you right now might come back to bite you in the butt one day if you don't listen closely.

I believe the time has come for all Network Marketers to realize there is an emerging trend within the industry the realization of which will transform the way we do business in Network Marketing. The World Wide Web has proven to be the largest and most effective networking platform on the planet. That we know as fact! Accessing the Internet and the Web was quite a task in the past but today, it is readily available almost anywhere on the planet. Literally hundreds of millions of people use the Internet on a daily basis to communicate, to share information, to exchange thoughts, ideas, education, pictures, videos and yes, even to Promote Products and Services

So where do Network Marketers fit into this equation?

How can we use this knowledge to help us build a stronger business?

First, let's review some fundamentals and let's agree on the following:

  1. The Internet is not going away anytime soon. Internet is here to stay! As a matter of fact, you might want to consider that The Internet is going to go down as the most important communication tool of the 21st Century.

  2. We all live in a smaller neighborhood thanks to the Internet. It's called the World !

  3. Technologies and Software developments have reached a point where today Network Marketing Companies are easily able to integrate business processes for their network of independent entrepreneurs like you and I.

Here are only a few examples: Personal Websites with Flash Presentations, Reporting and Document Downloading, E-mail and e-Card Broadcasting, Streaming Audio and Video feeds, Virtual Conferencing and much more...

  4. The learning curve to use the Internet is way shorter and easier than it's ever been.

  5. More and more Network Marketing entrepreneurs are using an ever growing number of Internet Services and tools to communicate.

  6. Last but not least, there is an ever growing number of these entrepreneurs who have chosen to create their own websites (more on your personal website later)

You and I must look at the Internet as one Big Piece of Real Estate. Our knowledge and use of it will determine how much of this Real Estate we will own in the future.

INTERNET PROSPECTING AS A BUSINESS

I don't claim to be smarter than Bill Gates but I do see an obvious trend happening today. About 10 years ago, the Internet gave birth to the MLM and Network Marketing INTERNET PROSPECTING Industry. This recent trend has created a whole new industry. Many service and marketing companies have been born out of this new trend and the subsequent demand it created. They have designed and built websites and systems in order to prospect and generate leads for MLM, Network Marketing, Direct Sales Companies and their Distributors. Some of the better known Internet Prospecting Companies are Growth Pro, Prospect Connect and MLM Brilliance .

Available primarily in English, these companies charge anywhere from $19.95 per month upwards to $39.95 per month just to provide their customers a Prospecting Website. Customers must, however, populate the contact management database with their own prospects as a rule. Other companies will charge anywhere from $70 to $200 per month for a Prospecting Website with pre-qualified leads. As an example, you might want 15 leads per month to be included with your website @ $70 per month OR 100 leads to be included @ $200 per month. Don't kid yourself; there are thousands of Network Marketers who pay these fees simply because they no longer want to be bothered with prospecting on their own.

When you think of prospecting, I suggest you think outside the box of "what you know" or "what you know that you don't know". Remember there exists a domain called "That which you don't even know that you don't know yet" and it's far greater than the former two domains listed here. Look at prospecting like a wheel with many spokes attached to it and every spoke of this prospecting wheel will help you build your business. As a whole, these spokes keep the wheel turning in balance. Here are a few Prospecting spokes that come to mind immediately but there are undoubtedly many many more:

  • Family members, friends and current business associates

  • Past co-workers, co-students, teachers, etc.

  • Suppliers are a good source of prospects seeing as they are the people you hand over your hard earned money to. Your dentist, your insurance and real estate agents, doctor, lawyer, accountant, banker, etc.

  • Cold Market Prospecting also ensures you keep your prospect list full at all times (spontaneous introductions, newspaper advertising, sizzle cards, flyers, business cards, Bulletin boards, etc.

My point is that there is a multitude of ways to build and maintain an ongoing list of prospects. The question you may want to ask yourself is: "What kind of prospect list am I attracting into my life and why am I attracting it?" (especially if your list is not constantly renewing and full)

==> SIDE NOTE <==

If you haven't yet seen The Secret (the movie), you ought to put that task high up on your priority list for 2007. It's all about the Law of Attraction.

CREATING YOUR OWN PROSPECTING WEBSITE

Over the last 5 years, I must have tried 2 or 3 different suppliers of Prospecting Websites. Although I found them to be very well done and full of great features, I also found that they were way too top heavy for the average user in my downline. I began to think; "Why don't I learn to build my own website? It can't be that difficult! Well as uncomfortable as it was, I began to study the tools available. Although many people swear by the Macromedia Dreamweaver software, I needed software where the learning curve would be short and sweet. I chose Microsoft FrontPage and I'm glad I did.

Through trial and error, I have created at least 5 websites in the last 2 years (that I still manage) and I have dealt with 4 different hosting companies so I have a fairly good knowledge of which suppliers are out there and the variety of tools and services offered by each.

WEBSITE RECOMMENDATIONS

Below is a quick description of some choices and prices you have available. To assist you in reading up on the appropriate category, I have labeled your choices under Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced with a short description of each category:

Beginner (You know very little about web page design)

SiteSell is my preferred choice because you don't have to know all the HTML stuff to build your site. However, you have to be prepared to go to school. Ken Evoy is a great teacher though and he's fun to study. He literally takes you by the hand from conception to realization. As a matter of fact, they have a huge promotion going on that ends on January 3rd, 2007 where you can get 2 sites for the price of one.

Here's a site I created from scratch with his system and I didn't know much about HTML when I did this site. www.small-business-options.com. I pay $295.00 US per year to host this site and I have all the tools I need to continue developing traffic. I haven't put much work into it over the last year but believe it or not, I still get app 300 to 400 unique visitors every single month AND I never spent a dime on advertising.

Here's the proof:

I have 1 website with Website Wizard where http://www.soutiensanjuan.com/ is hosted (My company has a Fiberglass Pool Division where I am responsible for the development of French Pool Dealers in my Province). Similarly to SiteSell, what's neat about Website Wizard is the ease with which you can create a websit5e with very little knowledge of HTML. The price point, at about $360.00 per year is reasonable. Website Wizard would be my choice number 2 for the Beginner because it has allot of bells and whistles and the learning curve is way shorter than SiteSell BUT you don't get a full package like SiteSell

Intermediate (You know enough about web page design and FTP to build a site on your own)

I have 2 websites hosted with iPower at a cost of app. $126.00 per year each. The first is www.mmgvision.com (an Internet Marketing Website) and the second is a Prospecting Website I have developed for my downline organisation. iPower is a great service and they offer tremendous toll free phone support. However, you have to be familiar with HTML and FTP software to venture down this path.

Advanced (You are very comfortable with web page design and FTP software)

KIOSK is my preferred service. In a nutshell, for $24,99 per month or $299.00 per year, you get everything iPower and Website Wizard gives you and then some plus you can host up to 8 websites on your server. Check out the KIOSK link and behold the best offer on the web today for the entrepreneur who wants to and host websites.

MY POINT IS THIS:

Having your very own website (www.yourname.com) is within reach. It can wind up simply being your Business Card on the web OR it can be a rich-content platform with which you can attract hundreds and maybe thousands of pre-qualified prospects to you and your Business opportunity.

IT'S YOUR DECISION BUT...

Of course, you can choose to do nothing but mark my word..."without your own website, you don't exist on the Internet. Therefore you have no way of reaching the Billions that will soon populate the Internet as their way of communication, buying, selling, you name it! I can't believe that you want to miss out on getting in on the action???

OK Peter, I'd like to have my own website but I can't be bothered to go through the learning curve. I don't want to build it myself. Can you offer me a solution? Sure! Call or write to me to discuss your options and yes, if you want a site but you don't want to be bothered building it, I can assist.

My main focus of activity is my own Network Marketing Business. However, my company, Mission Marketing Global has several divisions, one of which is Internet Marketing.

Yes, it's going to cost you if you want someone else to build it for you but maybe you don't mind paying to have it done for you and you'd rather focus on building your business. That's OK too!

If you're interested in having a conversation with me on that possibility, please fill in the form below and I will be happy to contact you within 24 hours.

CLOSING REMARKS

As I mentioned earlier , the Internet is here to stay. I predict that carefully planned and executed websites will give an incredible edge to Network Marketers in the future as it has in the past. The difference however is that, in the future, the number of successful Network Marketers who will use websites as their vehicle to build their Networks and Prospects will skyrocket beyond yours and my imagination.

Are you ready to bring the Net into the Network Marketing Equation???

MAKE 2007 YOUR YEAR!
