The Rolemodel of a Man - Old parental admonition, "Don't do as I do, do as I say?" is not true. Parents must not worry that children never listen to them; they must worry that children are always watching them. If there is anything that they wish to change in the child, they should first examine it and see whether it is not something that could better be changed in themselves. |

Parents are responsible for the man their child
will be.The first influence of
the child
is the home. But what happens to our society today that parent and child have an
unhealthy relationship? That many children belongs to juvenile delinquents? Are
parents the one to be blame?
Parent-child
relationship nowadays is depressing. Many parents tend
to
hate their children as well as children ending up hating their parents.
Addiction to drugs, liquors cigarettes etc.
is still a shock to many parents but they
don’t know that the main cause is the home which is the first influence to their
children’s personality and behavior.
Joyce
Maynard
said
that as much as parents watch to see what their
children do with their lives, children
are also watching parents to see what
they do with themselves. Parents can't tell
children to reach for the sun. All they can do is reach for it
themselves.
Children
eyed their parents with adoration at their young age. All the things that their
parents are doing seemed to be right in children’s eyes. That’s why parents
must be careful in setting examples to their children, for action speak louder
than words.
Children
need
not a rod or a spank or even words
but actions. They need parents who are willing to be a good example to them .
A role model not a critic.

Always remember that a child is a father of a man. Therefore what's done to children, they will also do to society when they become men.
