To own one’s voice is to own one’s true power. -
The origin of this power is self-esteem. The origin of self-esteem is trust in the power that created us.
To own my voice, to unleash the sound of my spirit, to communicate the energy of my deeper self, means:
That I am always singing my song, the unique song of my being-ness. When that quality emerges, others who listenWill be inspired to sing theirs.

I woke this morning, well at 3:40 AM actually, for that is when my inner voice likes to communicate with me. I had read this inspirational card about voice a couple of days ago and it must have been subconsciously still on my mind.
I have been learning a great deal over the past several weeks about our voice, since being invited to participate on the set of the infomercial for the braveheart women global community. As a group we began to work more on our voices – internally and externally. Although I had previously taken a course on voice speech, projecting and how to use our vocal awareness I was now going to actually put some of this new knowledge to the test.
Here is the thing about voice that often gets overlooked. It is not only about our actual voice, the sounds and words that we use aloud. It is also about the voice we here constantly talking to us in our minds. That voice is the most powerful of all. It can be a constructive voice and it can also be very destructive depending on how much attention we give it and which one we listen to the most.
The most important thing is to be able to recognize when we talk to ourselves if it is negative to stop the chatter. Be aware of our own self talk and say to ourselves ‘hey, listen that’s not the real me talking’. Tell yourself the truth, that you can be successful, that you are worthy. Tell yourself the right things. Take control of your inner voice, and then project that out through the outer voice.
Whenever I hear my little voice, which I lovingly refer to as “Barney” speaking, I tell him to go sit in the corner and be silent, then I let the good voice take over the conversation. This reminds me of the old commercial on TV where the little devil is sitting on the guys shoulder telling him it is okay to do whatever and the angel is sitting on the other shoulder saying that is not what you wish to achieve, it is not the thing to do.
Of course the absolute best voice that we should listen to is the gentle whisper of Gods voice, it may be the voice of intuition, or a gut feeling, maybe a thought and feeling of knowing something you should do.
Your voice creates your self-esteem, when I speak the right things my spirit feels better and then I know that I am on the right path and doing what I was meant to do. This means I am singing my song and I can and will inspire others to do the same. Let your true voice go and sing your song.
The choice is yours to own your voice. Once choice allows you to thrive. Be the leader of your voice and your choice.
