Thankfully the Cruise lines are well aware of what is going on with our economy and are offering significant savings and value for cruises ranging from the Mediterranean to Scandinavia to the Baltics!

Regular cruisers already understand the savings involved and may want to move on to the bottom of the article where the top deals to Europe are listed.  If you are new to cruising, it is important to remember that the price includes all of your meals, your cabin, activities on the ship and in many instances, onboard credit.  Currently there are incredible prices to the Mediterranean all the way up to the Baltics.  These cruises are appropriate for everyone - families, friends and couples. Of course the larger cruise lines will have the largest variety of folks, the smaller and sometimes, more expensive cruises tend to be geared more to adults.

Cruise itineraries through Europe, Destination information and Current Deals:
Beginning from the North moving South:

Beginning from the North moving South:
If you want to see spectacular scenery, majestic Fjords and old European towns, the Scandinavian Cruises are the way to go. There are varying itineraries, but for the most part if you are departing from Norway, you will cruise through the Fjords cross the Arctic Circle to Kirkenes, an outpost near the Russian border. This is a cruise focused on scenery, wildlife and Viking towns. Finland is a popular spot and quite a unique surprise for Americans.
Finalnd has been called "Finwacky" because of the Finnish sense of humor and pastimes. Even if you are visiting the city for just one summer day during a cruise ship port of call, you can check your inhibitions at the dock and get a little Finnwacky, whether you fancy spinning around upside down on a ride at Linnanmaki Amusement Park, lunching at an antique prison turned modern-day hotel or careening through the city to your own rendition of "My Way" in a Karaoke Taxi.  There are some amazing deals for this extremely unique cruise, click here to view deals to the Scandinavia and the Baltics.

The next set of northern-Western Europe cruises depart from England, highlighting the British Isles and the Cook Islands, Ireland more majestic cliffs and scenery. The British Isles region consists of England, Scotland, the Republic of Ireland, Wales and Northern Ireland.  All of the Northern European countries are expensive for Americans these days; the best way to figure out how to get the best deal is to figure out what you are paying per night for room and board, see how much you will be saving by eating on the ship and still being able to sightsee both on the ship and on land. Yes, you will have to put some money away for shopping and touring, but at least you are not paying the expense of a hotel and food.

Some Great Deals to these destinations:
$145+/nt: British Isles/Norwegian Fjords
$84+/nt: 12-Day N. Europe Cruise from London

The next set of itineraries are for Western Europe:
Western Europe ports of call include various urban spots in France, Amsterdam and Brussels. Brussels is a popular destination when ships dock at Zeebrugge, on Belgium’s coast, but Brugge itself is fascinating and fabulous -- and only a half an hour away. Amsterdam is a destination in its own right.

Moving South, we enter the world of the Western Mediterranean. The Western Mediterranean offers arts and culture, surf and sand, cafe hopping and boutique shopping, a variety of sights, attractions and activities.

Itineraries that sail the Western Mediterranean typically emphasize ports of call in Spain, France and Italy (with a few interesting detours along the way). These could also include stops in Portugal (primarily Lisbon though Oporto is occasionally featured), Morocco (Casablanca and Tangier), Monte Carlo, Malta and Croatia (Dubrovnik, most commonly). The actual ports of call vary and could include everything from France’s very chic Villefranche to Italy’s open-air museum of Florence.

Some Current offers to these Destinations:
$1779+: Air + 7nt Mediterranean Cruise
Mediterranean Cruises from Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines (Major Sale)
Celebrity Cruise Lines is also running thier huge sale of the year

Last, but certainly not least is my personal favorite, the Eastern Med Cruises. Here we find the ports of Athens (Piraeus), Greece (some focus on the enchanted Greek Islands); Istanbul, Turkey; and Venice, Italy.

Look closely at itineraries, figure out what you are spending per night, what are the added values and how much can the cruise line save you on airfare.

Dunhill Vacations is dedicated to finding the best VALUE for your dollar whether you are looking at the least expensive cruise or a high priced cruise, everyone deserves value.

Check weekly to see updated deals from a number of cruise lines with different itineraries, added values and exclusives.
