Amusement Parks in Riccione - If you wish to spend an amusing holiday, Riccione is the city for you. Among the seaside resorts of the Romagna Riviera, Riccione is probably the most loved by young people and the richest in amusements of all kinds.

Riccione is considered as one of the Italian capital
of amusement also because of the amusement and theme parks that rise in the
city: Aquafan, Oltremare, Indiana
Golf and Beach Village.
Aquafan is one of the most famous water parks
in Italy
(it is probably the most famous one). Inaugurated in 1987, it has inspired many
similar parks in Italy,
and in years it has offered to its visitors many new attractions. Ideal both
for children and for adults, both for groups of friends and for families, Aquafan
hosts many attractions and is a valid alternative for all the tourists who are
spending their holiday in Riccione and wish to enjoy a different day. Very
appreciated by children, Aquafan pays particular attention to the youngest
visitors, who are given the possibility to swim in a pool populated by famous
cartoons characters or to have fun in the Noah’s ark with four slides. At the
children’s disposal there are also a pink elephant with slides coming out of
its belly and the Antarctic
Baby Beach,
a pool watched over by a white bear. The water attractions conceived for adults
are not less amusing: 90m long slides, the Surfing Hill, i.e. 6 110m long parallel
slides, Extreme River, where visitors sail down the
river on rafts which have a top speed of 70 km/h… amusement and adrenaline are
guaranteed! If you wish to relax, there are also pools with Jacuzzi and pools
that recreate the movement of waves, but Aquafun has much more to offer, even
out of water: also open in the evening and night, the park hosts entertainment
and music shows, and is a benchmark for the night owls of Riccione.
Apart from Aquafan, in Riccione there is also
another water park, the Beach
Village. The main
peculiarity of this park is to be directly connected to the beach. It includes a
pool with sea water and four slides, other two big pools, restaurants, relax
areas with comfortable loungers, bars and entertainment and everything is
necessary to spend an amusing and relaxing day.
Since 2004 Riccione has hosted another
attraction that is very appreciated by tourists: Oltremare. It is not a bare
amusement park, but a naturalistic park that is meant to make visitors aware of
environmental problems. The park hosts many animals and attractions, like
“Adventure Island”, a playground conceived for children and inspired to Ulisse,
the park mascot, “Il viaggio nel tempo” (time travel), which makes visitors
learn something more about the birth of the universe and life on sea, sky and
earth (visitors can walk in a prehistoric forest, which is made credible
through the use of great visual and sound effects), “Dagli oceani al mare
Adriatico” (from oceans to the Adriatic Sea), the section of the park dedicated
to the sea, where you can admire some species that live in seas and oceans, and
“Delta e dintorni” (delta and surroundings), dedicated to the environment of
the Po Delta.
Last but not least, on the seafront of Riccione
there is “Indiana Golf”, conceived for all those who love minigolf. If you
think that this is an ordinary golf course, you are wrong: the biggest theme
adventuregolf in Italy,
Indiana Golf is a 7000
square metres park where you can play golf in a
beautiful setting that includes waterfalls, rocks and ponds.
