As usual, in Verona the third week-end of January will be dedicated to motorbikes: the fair area of the city will be as always a perfect host for the international exposition.

Over 100.000 square metres will be dedicated to every
kind of motorbike: 72.000 square meters inside for the static expositions,
35.000 outside for demos and shows, with guests from all over the world; it
surely is an occasion not to be missed for all motorbike lovers.
The experience of Verona’s fair area always assures
high standards for the expositions it hosts: the first one was in 1898, and
from then it had many occasions to improve more and more its offer, arriving to
this point, in which it is enviable; and even if the dedicated spaces are
already able to offer a comfortable reception of the guests, there’s a project
going on to widen the area to improve even more its receptive capabilities.
Combining the experience of Verona’s fair and the latest news in the history of
motorcycles the result is obviously unmissable; motorcycles owe their name to
the vehicle produced in Paris in 1898: “Motocyclette” is the name that was
given to the first-born of the Werners industry, and became popular in the
whole Old Continent, at the point that the Paris Tribunal had to recognize the
name “motocyclette” not as a sole property of the Werners but as of public
domain. The first motorcycle, though, was made by the engineer Louis-Giullaume
Perreaux, that patented his steam propulsion vehicle on two wheels on the 16th
March 1869. The following innovations (the petroleum-powered vehicle by
Gottlieb Daimler and Wilhelm Maybach was
fundamental) brought to the motorbike as we know it today.
The Motorbike Expo in Verona is an international event
that attracts visitors from all over the world with its 600 international
expositors; the expositions, races and demos attract lovers and curious of any
kind of motorbike. It turns out to be useful for those who intend to buy a
motorbike, to see the latest news; it offers a daydream to those who dream of
buying one, it’s an interesting walk for people interested in the world of
forks, and it’s a must for people who work with them and need to keep updated:
in the end, it’s an unmissable event for anyone.
All the motorcycles exposed in the Motorbike Expo can
join the World Championship of Custom Bike Building: this is the only Italian
stop of the prestigious international event, that makes 18 stops in total:
besides the Italian one, there are others in Germany, Austria, Switzerland,
France, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, The Netherlands, Ireland, Japan, Australia,
Russia, Canada, Mexico and United States. The purpose of the championship is
that of promoting design, mechanical quality and innovations of the custom
motorcycling, in the sake of the enjoyment of riding in comfort and security.
In January the fair of Verona opens a world on two
wheels for us: motorbikes are a dream for many people, a fear for others, but
in the end they attract everyone’s attention; it’s difficult to be indifferent
to them, and among the many shows and expositions of superbikes, custom and
trail bikes the challenge will be finding your favourite motorbike among the
hundreds of exposed ones.
