After the metal has been struck with a customer’s artwork enamel colors are then added in all recessed areas. The raised metal that is created enables the color fill process to help separate out each color. Once the coloring has been completed it then enters a baking process in which they are heated to approximately 400 degrees which allows the enamel to cure.

The last step involves adding a clear epoxy layer which helps to give the pin some depth and also provides a glossy appearance that serves to protect the custom artwork for years to come.
