Italy is considered as one of the most beautiful countries in the world and many people dream to move there to enjoy its beautiful cities and villages, learn to cook Italian dishes and experience the Italian mood and lifestyle. Other people might want to move to Italy for a given time span to learn Italian properly, and other people might be planning to move to this country for work.

In any case, what you should know is that relocating to Italy is not always so straightforward, especially if you are not a EU citizen. Your dream to live in Italy might turn into a nightmare if you do not known exactly what is needed to stay in this country and what you can expect from it. You might also decide to ask for help and ask a company specialised in relocation services, in order to have as few worries as possible.

Here are some suggestions and useful information for you relocation to Italy. First of all, there is a big difference between EU and non EU citizens. While EU citizens are allowed to move around Europe whenever they want, a non EU citizen does not have the right to stay inside the European Union for more than 90 days out of 180.

This means that if you stay in a country of the EU for 90 days, you are not allowed to come back to the European Union before other 90 days have passed. If you plan to definitely move to Italy, this is certainly a big obstacle, an obstacle that you can work around by trying and get a special visa.

There are 3 main types of visa that you might need to stay in Italy for longer than three months. The first one is called Extended Stay Visa and has been conceived for those who want to move to Italy and can demonstrate to be able to support themselves autonomously, without having to work in Italy. The second type of visa is the Student Visa, which can be issued to those people who would like to study in Italy. In order to have such a visa many documents are required, including a documentation of the course that you are going to attend.

The third type of visa that you might need to stay in Italy for a long period is the Work Visa. Also in this case, like in the case of the Extended Stay and the Student Visa, you will be asked to produce a specific documentation and to fill a form, but apart from this you will also need the help of your Italian employer, who will be sponsoring you and providing you with the necessary documentation.

Once you have obtained your visa an important part of the relocation procedure is done, but be aware of the fact that you will have to deal with many other things, from packing to starting a new life in a new country. Moving is never easy, and relocating to a different country can be even more difficult, but if you plan everything thoroughly, starting from the visa, you can be sure that your time in Italy will be good.
