A pop up display is one of the staple pieces of exhibition equipment for anyone exhibiting at a show. The scale of your stand will be dictated by the room at your event but you will probably end up with either a 3x2, 3x3 or 3x4 pop up stand. The curved version of these stands are the basic type that most businesses use, but do you really want to be like every other company? If you are at an exhibition with companies that you compete against then you'll want to be distinctive from the rest with a display that is individual.

There are a number of ways that you can make your pop up stand unique. You can extend the height, extend the width, and even change the shape of the stand by using a selection of pop up frames creatively.

Combining stands

Pop up frames have the ability to be combined with the use of 'ghost' panels. These are single panels, precisely the same size as the other panels on the stand but instead of being attached to the main frame, the graphic is used as a joining panel between two separate frames to give the appearance of one seamless stand. This opens up all kinds of options when you think of the variations that could be created. For example, two curved displays can be joined, one facing forwards and one facing backwards. This will produce a snake like pop up stand that will form a gentle in and out curve. This can also be double sided if you decide to use it as a focal point to your display.

You can also make some unique shapes by joining pop up frames at 90 degree angles to form stands that will fit superbly into the corner of your exhibition space. If straight stands are utilised then they can be extended as far as needed, covering your entire display wall.

Extended heights

Even though most pop up displays are 2.2m high, there are larger stands on the market that will provide extra visual presence for your stand without taking up any more floor space. A standard 3x3 is divided up into three units tall by three units long. Each unit is about 74cm x 74cm so a taller stand, a 4x3 for instance, would be four units high by three units wide. This makes the display the same length as a 3x3 but almost 3m tall. This is certain to stand out amongst stands that are all basic height. It also gives you more versatility for the design of the graphics for your display as you now have more space to work with.

Additional options

Whether you decide to use a standard sized pop up stand or a unique, bespoke stand, there are a number of accessories that you can apply to your stand to make it more than just a place to display your graphics. There are integrated product shelves that can be integrated into a display as well as brochure shelves for the display of business brochures and booklets.

Whichever pop up display you decide to use, the most important thing is that you design a display that is eye-catching and represents your business effectively.
