The alarm clock rings and you are ready to jump start another day;you get dressed quickly and rush to work. After a busy day at work, you come home and prepare dinner, pick up the house, help the kids with their homework. And when you finally have a break the only thing you can think about is a good night's sleep. This is how many working women generally spend their day, constantly on the run and never having time to care for their skin.
Here are some tips how you can simplify your routine and energize your skin:
Exercise Daily
No matter how busy your schedule is, take some time out for exercise. Exercise not only keeps your body healthy but it increases blood circulation which keeps your skin healthy as well. Exercise helps to flush out toxins through the sweat glands and keeps the skin clean. The best time to exercise is in the morning as it increases your concentration at work as well.
Have a Relaxing Shower
The best way to wake up and get ready for the day is to have an invigorating shower. Make sure you use lukewarm or cool water because hot water can make your skin dry and cause redness. While you are in the shower, use a scrub to exfoliate your skin to remove dead skin cells from the skin surface, leaving you feeling fresh and healthy.
Use Double Duty Skin Care Products
There are skin care products that serve more than one purpose in a single formulation; like sunscreens that double up as moisturizers, eye creams that can also be used to remove make-up and so on. These products not only save you a great deal of time by simplifying your beauty routine, but also save you from needing to layer your skin with multiple products. Try La Roche-Posay Anthelios SX, a non-greasy moisturizer and full spectrum sunscreen all in one. It contains Mexoryl SX which is photostable against UVA rays so it does not breakdown and actually lasts longer than most sunscreens. It is fragrance and Paba free and does not make your skin look pasty! Besst of all - it moisturizes for 24 hours!
Wake up your Face
When you wake up, just clear out the crusts of sleep that form in your eyes and get your face ready for the day. The skin produces oil at night which allows bacteria and dead skin cells to accumulate within the skin. Therefore, it is important to cleanse the skin in the morning. Start by splashing your face with water and then use a good cleanser to wash your face. Try Kinerase Pro+Therapy Skin Soothing Cleanser. It is a non acne causing product that exfoliates and nourishes the skin. This product is soothing yet helps to cleanse and rejuvenate the skin. It also exfoliates the skin without stripping the skin of it’s natural oils. This cleanser helps to hydrate and replenish the skin in a therapeutic way.
Use an Eye Care Product
The skin around your eyes is extremely thin and fragile. Not only does it show signs of aging but it also gets wrinkled up when you are tired. Therefore, use a good eye care product that soothes the sensitive eye tissue and prevents any damage. Try Obagi Professional C Serum 5 Percent. It’s a great product with stabilized Vitamin C safe for use on the eye area. This serum contains antioxidants to reduce the visible signs of aging while stimulating collagen. This is the mildest strength so it even works great for sensitive skin.
