Chlorination is one of oldest and most effective ways of purifying the water. The process is all about making water free of various pathogenic microorganisms, which can cause serious diseases like cholera, typhoid, gastroenteritis, dysentery, and others. This method is also a cost effective water purifying method as it does not take much dollars to implement. All you need is an efficient chlorinator. The two most common types of chlorinators found in the market are Electro Chlorinators and Gas Chlorinators.

Both these chlorinators are very effective in purifying water. These easily remove iron from water by destroying bacterial slimes and algae. The chlorinators also assist in avoiding dangerous storage and handling problems related with dis-infection practices.

One of the common kinds of chlorinators is Electro Chlorinator. These are ideal to remove bacteria or viruses that are commonly found in water. These kinds of chlorinators only require salt, water and electricity to work. One of the major advantages of this type of chlorinator is that it can reduce the smell caused by hydrogen sulfide. Moreover, these can also purify well water, which has sodium hypochlorite (also known as bleach).The safe and cost effective operations of Electro Chlorinators also makes them a safe bet. These purify the water without any worry of storing or handling any material that is hazardous.

Another common chlorinator is Gas Chlorinator. This vacuum operated chlorinator has various accessories like filter, flush mounted chlorine pressure gauge, vacuum regulator, flow-meter, flow control valve, positive non-return valve, differential regulator and injector. You would find most of the gas chlorinators pre-assembled and quality checked before being sold to you. You can buy these in floor mounted or wall mounted models, as per your need. These chlorinators can be mounted either on a 65/100 kg cylinder or on a 1000 kg tonner, as per your requirements. Moreover, these don’t take much time to install or maintain. The operating cost of these kinds of chlorinators is also quite low.

In addition to these, chlorine gas manifolds are also common systems that are utilized for purifying the water. For containers where the manifold gas line is not suitable, you can also use vaporizers to ensure high chlorine gas feed rates. The two common types of vaporizers available are Electrically Heated Vaporizers and Steam Heated Vaporizers.
