When your business is involved in a trade show, you need to make sure your brand is properly represented. An ordinary booth isn't going to cut it because there will be other vendors who are your competitors with a custom display and extraordinary trade show booths. If you want your brand to stand out, then you are going to need to know how to get the right look and make some choices in your display so that everyone will know who you are as they pass by.
The whole reason you are at a trade show is to get noticed. If you go with the basics, simple colors and the generic booth, you're going to blend into the background and no one is going to remember that you were there. There are different kinds of booths, banners and materials that you can have so that it will stop people dead in their tracks and force them to look at you. From there, you have captured your audience and can tell them everything and anything about your brand.
Trade show displays are often offered by the convention center or facility that you have your show in. Within these are base options that will get you started. This includes a frame to go around the specific space that you have, as well as draping. The draping is the materials or curtains that will go on the frame that divides the sides and back of your space from neighboring spaces. You also need to determine if you want carpeting for your space to make the floor different from that of the convention center floor.
You need to treat your trade show booths just as you would a storefront. If you don't want a generic wall color or carpet color for your business, then you don't want it for your booth, either. You need to find out if there are any regulations for where your display is going so that you are able to control as much as possible.
Assuming that you have a frame already for your booth, first consider the draping. These can be solid panels, fabric or gauze. The most common is fabric but if you are looking for pre-printed material, you can have a custom display manufactured where the panels actually have your logo or other print material about your brand.
Next, you want to consider a truss system. These are very popular in the larger trade show booths. It is a frame that goes from the various panels in your booth to create a ceiling or arch. Additionally, lights or banners can be hung from them to help grab the attention of everyone. If you are going to a crowded trade show and want to be seen, a truss installed across your booth could have a huge impact.
Finally, you should consider various banners. You can have the greatest looking trade show displays around but if people do not know who you are, all of your hard work is for nothing. These can be built into modular systems, free standing banners, pop up displays or anything else that contains your logo and your message. You may only have someone's attention for a few seconds, so you want to get their attention so that they will stop for more information. A custom display is usually best when it comes to having a banner designed so that it fits within the confines of your booth.
The trade show display you choose is what will ultimately sell your brand. Every decision you make for it will determine whether people stop or not. When you only have a few seconds to make your booth count, it needs to be great. Many trade shows offer assistance with this so if you aren't familiar with the process, you will want to enlist the help of a professional.
