Beekeeping is an interesting hobby and can be a source of income. This is a full-time job for some individuals. There are actually millions of beekeepers around the world and many large-scale commercial beekeepers. Based on the estimations, the yearly honey production around the world is higher than a million metric tons.

Anybody can be a beekeeper. But for those who have allergies to pollen and bee stings should think about other hobbies. Frankly, honey bees will usually sting only when they are defending themselves. Believe it or not, a person may become immune to bee venom over time. Therefore, if all the safety measures are satisfied, you are ready to start beekeeping.

Honey bees are classified as social insects living in bee hives. A normal honey bee hive has numerous bees working that are together to construct a nest, gather food and parenting the brood. Bees within a colony are usually broken down in 3 organizations, and each has tasks to do.

To start beekeeping, it is important to hold the fundamental parts of the bee hive, safety equipment, tools in working with the honey, and also a bee source. Start your bee venture by purchasing package bees, purchasing pre-established bee colony or gathering colonies. But for beginners, packages are highly recommended.

Beekeeping has many advantages to provide. If you're able to conquer the fear bee sting, then you can try beekeeping.
