Studies have shown that over 90% of the time a security system sets off an alarm that it's actually a false alarm. These false alarms are the result of a number of different scenarios but they aren't because of criminal activity, which means when the authorities answer these calls, whether that's the police or a private security company, their time is being wasted and their focus is being diverted from any legitimate criminal activity that could be occurring at the same time.
With an AlarmVision business surveillance system, any time an alarm is tripped, live video footage is sent to a monitoring center. That footage is analyzed by a human representative who determines if the alarm has been set off due to a break in or other criminal activity. If that's the case, the authorities will then be dispatched to investigate.
This has led to neighborhoods where AlarmVision video surveillance systems are being used to be much safer overall because the police or security guards are dedicating more time to patrolling the area and looking into actual criminal activity rather than running down false alarms. Furthermore, once any potential criminals see that a video surveillance system is monitoring the area, they'll recognize that they're better off attempting their crimes elsewhere. If multiple businesses utilize these systems, they're actually helping each other.
The problem is many businesses believe that they've got sufficient protection because they've never had any security problems. That fallacy is shattered the first time they do fall victim to a break in and they wonder how come their system didn't prevent it. Their alarm system may represent the latest technology of when it was purchased but older systems tend to become outdated quickly. The video surveillance systems from Houston security company AlarmVision will always have someone there waiting to analyze the live footage when the alarm is tripped, so your company will be protected as long you've got the system in place.
