Egypt is located in north-eastern Africa and south western Asia. It is certainly a prime location to see our great heritage from the ancient world, including pyramids and beautiful temples.  Egypt’s capital is Cairo and is the largest and most modern city in the Middle East and Africa.  Egypt is bounded on the north by the Mediterranean Sea, on the east by Israel and the Red Sea, on the south by Sudan, and on the west by Libya.  Less than one-tenth of the land area of Egypt is settled or under cultivation, this consists of the valley and delta of the Nile, a number of desert oases, and land along the Suez Canal and you will find a great range of Egypt Hotel and Egypt Accommodation in the area.

Egypt is a country with an immense cultural mix.  In every major city in Egypt you will find traditions that remain from the time of the Pharaohs, and in other parts you will find pure tribal customs that were brought in by many invaders throughout the centuries.  Egyptian people are full of warmth towards visitors and are always there to land a hand, which makes Egypt an unforgettable destination just as Egypt Hotel and Egypt Accommodation do.   This is a place where adventure abounds every turn.  It offers so many sites not to be missed such as the Pyramids of Giza, Abu Simbel or the west bank of Luxor.

Wherever you go and whatever you see you will enjoy it even more when you stay at Egypt Hotel and Egypt Accommodation. You can do lot of things on your Egypt tour as Egypt also offers nature and desert treks, great scuba diving and even golf, fishing and birding expeditions. One may choose to relax on the wondrous Egypt Red Sea or Sinai coasts, take in the high culture of Cairo, or even leisurely float down the Egyptian Nile on a luxurious river boat.

Even though nearly all of Egypt is desert, the small part that isn’t the valley of the Nile River. This part of the Egypt is paramount for the nation as most of the population depends on the Nile and the population lives within a few miles of the Nile’s banks. Most of the Egypt tours except to desert oasis whether by cruise, train, bus or private car never stay too far from the river’s shores.

Egypt’s history covers some five thousand years, and encompasses the origin of civilization, the rise of the Greeks and Romans, the establishment of the Jewish, Christian and Islamic religions, the colonial era when first France and then the English ruled the country, and finally, a return to independence. Egyptian food is spicy and delicious, with a varied blend of Mediterranean and Middle East flavours after enjoying this delicious cuisine retreat to your Egypt Hotel or Egypt Accommodation for a relaxing night.

Thus, you can enjoy a lot on your Egypt tour as it is a land bustling with life, sound, visual beauty and excitement.

Kathy Green on her Egypt tour has enjoyed a lot staying at Egypt accommodations and also took on a Nile cruise. She shares some of the facts about the country.
