This Car can do it All
If any of you are looking into getting a new car, we have got just what the doctor ordered. We have got the Acura MDX 2014. Reliable, trustworthy and economical, this car has it all and then some. Let's take a look at what makes this car so great. All of these great attributes are part of the reason why Edmunds.com has been selected as a top rated vehicle.
The Exterior and Interior
It's been smoothed out a bit more, than some of the previous designs. It's got more of a grown-up feel to it. For those that want to drive around in a more mature car, you will be hitting pay-dirt with this one. The 3.7 engine that was in the previous model has been replaced. It's more stream-lined and efficient. It has a 3.5 liter engine now.
The buttons that used to be on the dashboard of the older models, have been completely taken out. This is good news for those that hated having all of those buttons. There is also a huge screen in the back. This is perfect for those of you that have families. Even for those that are obsessed with cars, by the time you hit your 30s, you begin having kids. Most of you anyway. So this large screen that sits in the back of the car will keep the kids entertained for a long time. This is good for those that take long road trips. Just pop in a movie or TV show and your kids will be set.
The Dimensions
The height and weight have been dramatically reduced. This is an added benefit, when you compare it to last year's model. There is a lot more room up front. This way, you can stretch your legs. It will give you more room to drive more comfortably. The third row has also got some more room to stretch out in. The second row does lose some space, but the rest of the vehicle more than makes up for it.
You also have some more cargo room. This is perfect for those needing to pack for a big trip. You won't just have the trunk space to use. If you don't intend on using the third row, you can pull down the seats. You can use that extra space for packing and storing. Perfect for those trips to grandma's house.
Features
It's got a front engine. It's a 4-door SUV. It can go from 0-60 in under 7 seconds. The transmission is a 6-speed, plus it's automatic. Now the price is somewhat varied. It all depends on where you go to buy or lease it. The base price is a little over $45,000. The price when tested as over $57,000. So again, it depends on where you go to shop. The fuel efficiency is actually pretty good. In the city you get 18 miles to the gallon. On the highway, you will get 27 miles to the gallon. When you consider the fact it's an SUV, that's really not that bad. When braking the car from 60 mph to 0, you will get about 116 feet.
When it comes to cars, it's all about the packaging. This Acura MDX 2014 has got it in spades. Check it out at your local dealer.
