Mazda is a Japanese automobile producer that has a very long history and are quite prominent in the world of cars. Americans are obviously impressed by them as well, since they have experienced records sales within the United States in September alone thanks to the Mazda CX-5 and the Mazda6.
The Mazda CX-5 is a relatively new vehicle. It is a compact crossover SUV that was brought to the market in 2013. It seats five comfortably. It gets 26 miles per gallon in the city and 32 miles per gallon on the highway. With a starting MSRP of $21,545, making this is very affordable for an SUV.
The Mazda 6 is a mid-size car that was introduced to the market in 2002. This popular mid-size car gets an impressive 28 miles per gallon in the city and 40 miles per gallon on the highway. The MSRP has a starting MSRP of $21,190. U.S. sales hit 23,980 vehicles within the month which is an increase of 6.7% versus 2013.
They attribute this growth to quality, fuel efficiency and SKYACTIV Technology found in the vehicles. This technology is a brand name used by Mazda that increases fuel efficiency and engine output. It is compared with the fuel economy of a hybrid vehicle. Because of the increased engine output emission levels are reduced. An environmentally friendly car is all the rage right now. SKYACTIV Technology was unveiled in 2011. More than 84% of Mazda’s sold were equipped with this specified technology adding to the success of the company. This is proof this is what consumers are looking for and are wanting to purchase.
Out of the 23,980 vehicles sold, 4,263 were Mazda6, which is an increase of 34.6% over last year. This is the highest number of sales for this model since 2005. Mazda CX-5 claimed 8,097 of these sales. This is an increase in sales of 28.9% over last year. These two models attributed greatly to the highest sales in September for the company. Mazda has sold almost 241,000 cars from January 1 through September 30 of 2014.
Mazda is an innovator in its industry. Consumers love new and exciting. This is an extremely reliable company that has been around for decades. Many Americans want to only buy American made automobiles, but this data shows that this may be false information. According to this data, Mazda sales are by no means slowly down now or in the near future. There is something extremely popular and inviting about this company.
Next time you are in the market for a new car, do your research and see if Mazda makes the list. It sure was at the top of many others.
