There is a common saying around since forever.Nothing in the world is for FREE which is very much true but after all there are some things we call exceptions. A logo is also one of these exceptions. There are a lot of websites offering
Free Logo Makers where you can design your own logo if you have some knowledge of branding and designing.
The pattern is very simple. You go to these websites and create your free account. After logging in you can you can use the software available to produce your own logo all by yourself. All you have to do is use the tools appropriately before you choose your logo type. Then you can add your Business Name and Tagline, choose the colors and fonts you would like to see in your logo and there you go. You logo will be created just like that. In a matter of hours you will receive the logo in your email.
So Simple. Is not it? Now let me tell you another old saying.
Too much Peace is the sign of a storm coming up
So is there a catch? Yes. There always is. There are no exceptions. It is not a Free world.
What happens is that once you design your logo using these
free logo maker you are shown your logo and emailed the same logo after a while. Once you download the logo you will see there is a shadow of a word mark behind the image which does not seem to go away. It’s the watermark of the Website where you designed your seemingly free logo. You will have to remove this watermark before you use this logo.
In comes the real thing. Upgrade to our premium package and own your logo. There goes you free log fantasy. The prices of their premium packages will be the same as of a professional logo designer or a design company. Yes the money you were trying to save will not be saved afterall. You also loose the advantage of using the professional expertise of a designer with unlimited imagination and branding knowledge.
Another added disadvantage of trying these free logo options is that when you create an account on one of these websites you actually give them your email address which will be used for future emails and marketing or may be sold out to other email marketers and you will be cleaning up the mess in your email inbox for the rest of your life.
So it is recommended that you avoid such free offers and get your brand identity designed by a Professional Logo Designer.
