Business suits can cost a lot of money and correct care of your suit can help it to last longer. Here are our useful tips regarding the care and cleaning of your corporate clothing. By following these easy care instructions, you will guarantee to preserve the appearance of your tailored business suit.

For regular care always rotate your garments. After each wear, brush the jacket and hang it up on a hanger with padded shoulders.

Wash care instructions for your business suits:

1. Empty all pockets and take off any badges from the jacket. Put the jacket and trousers into your washing machine alongside garments made from the same fabric and colour only.

2. Machine wash as wool at 30 degrees on a short spin cycle.

3. Remove garments immediately from the machine as soon as the wash is complete.

4. Drying: place the jacket back on the hanger; shake into shape by gently straightening the seams.

5. Fold the trousers to the front creases and hang on a separate hanger.

6. Allow both items to dry naturally.

7. Do not tumble dry as this could cause creasing.

Finishing: If needed, press the garments using a cool iron over a damp cloth.

We recommend washing your office suit jacket between 4 to 6 times a year. If your jacket is badly stained you should have it professionally dry cleaned. Washing and cleaning very regularly will reduce the life of all clothing.

It is advisable to have your jacket pressed professionally at a good dry cleaning company once a year to reinvigorate the jacket and bring back that factory finished look it had when new.

Bear in mind that some business suits are strictly dry clean only. If your suit is dry clean only do not wash it in a domestic washing machine. Instead always take it to a dry cleaning company. Dry cleaners often have special offers like two suits for the price of one so it pays to look around for the best offer.
