When I came to purchasing a baby monitor, I went with a Philips Avent Dect baby monitor.
The most significant feature that a baby monitor must have is the ability to deliver the clearest sound possible at the widest range, even up to 150 feet indoors. The Philips Avent DECT baby monitor is designed to do just that.
Although the price may be off-putting to some parents, I found that it is well worth the investment. Whilst there are monitors that fall below the $90 price range, it doesn’t offer the crystal clarity of sound that this monitor provides.
The signal on the Philips Avent Dect baby monitor is strong and is clear of interference. There are 120 channels available that the Avent baby monitor will automatically search through to find the best signal. Even when I use my cell phone or the cordless phone near it, the Avent baby monitor still is able to send and receive a signal without noisy static or other interference. I can easily use the Avent baby monitor in my apartment building.
You will discover extra features on the Philips Avent DECT baby monitor not usually found in other brands, such as temperature and humidity readings, remote lullaby control and a nightlight. My personal favourite is the two-way communication between the parent and nursery unit. This enables me talk to my baby to soothe him, or if I need to call my spouse to help me change the diaper. As my child grows older, he can perhaps even play with the Avent baby monitor similar to a walkie talkie.
The Philips Avent DECT baby monitor provides me with satisfaction and convenience. I'm able to hear my baby even if I’m away from the room, and I can manoeuvre around using the neck loop and belt clip accessory that accompanies the parent unit. It might not be glamorous, however for a brand new mother; it's the accessory of preference!
On that note I wish you all the best with your new born and also in choosing the right baby monitor. The important thing to remember is to choose something safe, and of great quality to ensure peace of mind and your kids safety. Make no mistake about it, spending on a great baby monitor like the Philips Avent DECT Baby Monitor is worth the investment for you and your child.
