What can you do to improve your chess skills? There are many opinions
on this topic, but the main thing you can do to improve is to practice
often. For ages chess has been a competitive game. The champs of chess
are real masterminds and people respect them for their intelligence.
As of now, the current World Chess Champion is Viswanathan Anand and
like most chess masters, he started playing the game at a very early
age and proceeded to win a lot of official chess tournaments.
Viswanathan is one of the most well known players in the chess world at
the moment.
Many people that would like to become one of the
better chess players in the world did not have the opportunity to play
chess at young age. This however, can’t be used as an excuse not to
become one of the better chess players in your region or even country.
Always remember that with the human brain, nothing is impossible. You
will always be able to become better. One very important aspect of
playing chess is self-confidence. If you lack this you will definitely
make mistakes. Confidence is important in any situation anyway. If you
don’t think you can do it, you’re not likely to prove yourself wrong.
Using a chess clock during the games you play is a good way to get
better at playing chess. This is a method of training yourself to
become aware of the big picture of the entire game itself. It will help
you devise strategies to ensure your victory. If you get cornered you
will most likely go into a kind of trance, like many humans do.
Scientifically, this phenomenon is called the fight or flight response.
Chess clocks can help you develop your game as they can provide you
with a good perception of any situation you can find yourself in when
you play chess.
Official chess tournaments often make use of a
chess clock to make sure that the tournament proceeds at the scheduled
time. It is often seen that chess players are taking their time and
really make planned moves in the starting phases of the game and then
make mistakes later on because they are making faster moves as the game
proceeds. Even though most people know that the start of a chess game
is vital, one should always keep the bigger picture in mind.
Because chess is such a dynamic game, you must really consider every
move you make thoroughly because you cannot always stick to a certain
strategy since the opponent’s moves should be considered at all times.
Grandmasters of chess adhere to this golden rule as they know how
important it is. If you remember to maintain focus and think about
every move you make, and then also try to predict your opponents next
moves, you’re on your way to become a great chess player.

Flight Simulation Games Offers You the Excitement of Flying Without Leaving the GroundMay 8, 2011 - 1:54:42 PM Making use of flight simulation games has made it realistic to make-believe that you're an authentic pilot, within the comfort and ease of your own household. That also includes all the apparently small details that goes with the territory of being an airline aviator.... [Read the full story] |
