When we think about using the
vertical space in our homes and garages, most of us just think of shelves.
However there are lots of types of racking you can use, which are often tougher
and support heavier weights. It is just one of the ways we can think more
laterally about our storage options. Especially in the garage, racking can be
used to store heavier items.
Bicycles and tools for DIY can be stored on racking, keeping these items safely stored and saving you more space in the garage too. You can buy custom-made racking for your sports kit. This kind of racking is specially designed for the hobby or sport you take part in, and will be just the right size and strength for your kit.
Alternatively, think about
investing in racking to which you can add heavy duty hooks where you need them.
Items such as lawnmowers, brooms and mops, hoses, sports bags, buckets and even
ladders can be stored safely this way. Simply attach the hooks to the grooves
and put them wherever you want them. It is a great way to get items off the
floor and onto the wall.
You can also add shelves and keep items such as cleaning fluids or paints there. Everything will be easy to access and highly visible. Much better than keeping it in a confusing mess on the floor. The advantage of this kind of racking over shelving is its flexibility to store exactly what you need the way you need it stored.
Lots of us are put off getting
started by the idea of spending hours in the garage installing your racking. To
fix your racking to the wall needn’t be a pain. It comes with full
instructions, and you can always start with one panel and add others to your
racking at a later date if you want to start modestly. That way racking is very
adaptable to your changing needs. If you want to, you can cover the whole wall
with racking, which looks tidy and integrated.
Any uneven edges are hidden by the matching snap on edge trim which is easy to cut to size for a really neat finish. “If you are looking for racking which will solve all your garage storage problems, look no further than our garage storage kit,” said Spokesman of Bernards Bins Bernard Jones. “With a wide range of accessories to suit your needs, you can adapt this kit to design your own perfect garage storage solution!”
You might associate racking with storeroom or warehouse storage, but it is also extremely useful in the home. Getting everything out of the house and stored neatly in the garage is the best way to get your home organised. With some of the great deals available on the market today, it doesn’t have to break the bank either. Using your wall space could double the amount of space you have in your home, which means you won’t regret choosing racking.
