Affiliate Marketing - Why You Need Your Own Website

Having your own website is very important if you are trying to make money with affiliate marketing. That way you are always in control of what is on the website, and if a certain affiliate product or website is no longer available, you will still get the residual traffic that you created with your article marketing campaigns.

Many people are making money online with affiliate marketing. That is where you get paid a commission for a sale just by directing someone to their sales page or product.

There are thousands of products online that you can earn a commission for. Some of the most popular places to earn commissions as an affiliate is Clickbank and Commission Junction, or CJ for short.

The way that works is, you sign up for a free account as an affiliate. You can then choose which product or products you wish to promote. You can then advertise any way you want to get traffic to their website, and when someone makes a purchase, you get paid.

The only problem with driving traffic to someone Else's website is there is no guarantee that their website or product is going to be around forever, and if you use article marketing as a way to drive traffic then that domain name will continue to get traffic for years even if it no longer exists.

The best way to promote affiliate products or anything else for that matter is with your own website and domain name.

That way, if a certain affiliate product is no longer available you can put something else on your website which will continue to get traffic from the articles you have written and when it comes to making money online, traffic is king. It literally makes the world go 'round so to speak.

One of the best places to get your own domain name and website hosting account is through a company called Global Domains International. The reason I like them the best is not only do they have a great service for a great price, but you can also make a lot of money promoting their services as an affiliate.

It is a multi-level payment system that goes 5 levels deep. In other words, if you introduce their services to someone and they sign up, you will get a commission from their monthly fees. They are on your first level, and there is no limit as to how many you can refer on your first level.

Now, when that person introduces it to someone and they sign up, they will be on your second level and you will get a commission of their monthly fees. You get paid like that down to your fifth level.

So if you sign up five people and they all do the same down to your fifth level, that would be a total of 3,905 people in your down line, all of which you would be getting a monthly commission for.

But no matter who you use as a website host it is important to have your own website and domain name when affiliate marketing, especially if you use article marketing to generate traffic.
