Speaking and talking are very important aspects of literacy activities for kids. The Learning Well has a motto;” Speak to Learn”. Questioning and answering those questions is totally relevant to this and literacy activities.
Do your kids use the 'WHY' question all the time? Why is it like this? Why is it like that?
Children naturally want to ask questions because they want to know the answers.
Luckily questions are to secret to improving ability when you engage in literacy activities for kids.
It is really important to know which questions to ask to help your children.
Questions help in two ways.
"Questions help your children learn and improve your children's motivation."
The minute your kids ask a question their focus of attention is on the answer.
Putting questions and getting to the answers is thinking.
"Here is a motto for you. “Better questions, better answers, better life”."
"What we can take from it is that using good questions lead to good answers which results in improved literacy activities for kids."
To quote educationalist Phil Race; “All knowledge is the answer to a question”.
"Which questions to ask and encourage in helping with literacy?"
"Great questions begin with the following words: What, where, when, how, why, who? You can use these in literacy activities for kids."
"But just what do you do to apply all this? Give this a try. Go somewhere with your kids that has a lot of history. This could be an old town, a castle or may be something really famous like Stonehenge in Britain. Now ask these questions;"

How did people live here?
Why do you think people don't live here anymore?
Who lived here?
If you ask the questions your children will look for the answers.
Questioning is one the most important skills that you need for all literacy activities for kids.
You can improve your kid's literacy abilities by helping them understand by giving the background to the questions. The background may even help create the questions.
This means that this is a chance for you to guide your children and to create the amazing habit of continuously asking better questions.
