With the end of the year approaching rapidly Nissan is proud to announce its’ new 2015 Frontier Mid-Sized pickup. The 2015 Nissan Frontier has a vast array of options to fit any individual’s needs or desires for a mid-sized vehicle. When a full-sized pickup is just too big, but a car does not offer the cargo space and maneuverability that one wishes, the new Frontier is great option that won’t break the bank.
The 2015 Nissan Frontier has varying options, depending on the specific needs of the consumer in question. J.D. Power, through McGraw Hill Financial, breaks it down with their specifications. The Frontier S has a 5 speed transmission, 152 horsepower, 2.5 liter, 4 cylinder engines. The miles per gallon on this beauty averages between 19 and 23 depending on the driving environment. The SV-14 also has a 5 speed transmission with the same engine specifications as well as miles per gallon. The SV runs on a 5 speed transmission system. Its engine boasts a 261 horsepower, 4.0 liter 6 cylinder engine with an average fuel economy of 16 to 22. The Nissan Desert Runner offers the same transmission and motor options as the SV. The PRO-4X shows off a 6 speed transmission with a 261 horsepower, 4.0 liter, 6 cylinder engine running strong under its’ hood with highway and city miles per gallon averaging out at 16 to 21. The final option is the SL which boasts a 5 speed transmission and a 261 horsepower, 4.0 liter 6 cylinder engine. The SL has a highway fuel economy of 16 to 22.
Nissan USA describes each package in depth. The Frontier S is the base line option. This style has anti-lock brakes; side seat mounted air bags, air bag occupancy sensor, curtain airbags in the front and back, traction control, air conditioning, as well as electronic stability and radio prep. The S packages pickup comes standard with an automatic transmission, rear under seat storage, 12 volt dc power outlets, rear privacy glass, and various other extras which work to make it one of the most cost effective and safe base line mid-sized pickups on the market.
The SV-14 includes all that the S features with an addition of 16” aluminum alloy wheels, AM/FM/CD with a 4.3” color display, and XM radio. The SV not only includes all the features the other models listed but also includes a front tow pack (4x4only) more power under the hood, and a 5 speed automatic transmission. The Desert Runner offers everything the SV has as well as Bilstean shocks, a unique cloth interior trim, and a satin chrome grille. The PRO-4X offers the top of the line options in the Frontier series. It includes everything already mentioned with the Desert Runner, as well as skid plates, rear locking differential, and specific PRO-4X clothe trimmed interior.
With varying color, motor, transmission, and extra options the 2015 Nissan Frontier has a little something for everyone. Whether it be driving cross country, through mountain roads, or down the block; these mid-sized pickups have the options, maneuverability, safety, and style to give the consumer just what they need.
