Refractories India - Refractory Materials - If you are involved in the business of constructing furnaces, kilns, incinerators and reactors then the most important material of your need would be refractory materials. Refractory materials are used in linings for structures which are exposed to strong heat or chemicals. So, a good refractory material should be chemically and physically stable at high temperatures. They also need to be resistant to thermal shock, have some range of thermal conductivity and should be chemically inert. An important material used to line furnaces and kilns is Fire Brick. A good fire brick should withstand high temperature but also have low thermal conductivity in order not to let out any heat and thus save energy. Fire bricks are made up of alumina (30- 40%) and silica (50%). |

Acid proof materials are another type of refractory products. They are used in those places where the environment is acidic. A good acid proof material should be highly resistant to acid and should not get corroded in acidic environment. Calcium silicate block is another material which is used as a substitute to asbestos for insulating high temperature exposed structures. It is a good fireproofing material but its quality should be precisely examined before establishing. Sometimes a refractory material needs anchorage to fix itself to the structure. For this purpose Ceramic fibre blankets are used. This material is used to bind the refractories on the roof and vertical walls. The most important thing is that the anchorage material should be able to withstand the weight of the refractory material even at elevated temperature and increased pressure. So choosing a good ceramic fibre blanket is also very important.
Thus,
a good refractory material and proper anchorage material is of much importance
for building heat resistance structures. Before choosing a refractory material
you should make sure that the quality of the material is the best and it is
most reliable. Janoo Refractories Pvt. Ltd. deals with the best Refractory
Materials. One can easily get a quality deal from them.
