Building a list is important but building a list of Quality Subscribers is far more important. Anyone can just get a bunch of names and market to them but if they are not qualified for what you are offering what is the point. When you build your own e-mail list you have the ability to target the specific group that you are interested in and pick and choose who subscribes to your list. The term cherry picker comes to mind, you only want to pick the best cherries and market to them.

So how can you find quality subscribers for your list so you can make the most return on your efforts? We will review 4 steps that can help you target your list as if you were using a laser scope.

1. You need to identify your niche. This is the small area you will focus on and devote your marketing to. 2. Once you find out what they need or want, once you know their interest, find or create a product around that interest or need. Use this product as a way of getting their attention. Since they don’t know you yet, the product should not cost a lot. It would even be better if it is free. If so spend time writing posts on these forums answering and posting questions that may interest those of your niche. After your post leave a link to your website or squeeze page. This will help create traffic, but you should do research on other traffic creation methods.

4. The forth step to help you drive quality subscribers to your list is to write and submit articles. You will submit them to article directories that will publish them to newsletters and other information sites on the web. This will allow you to write about things that your niche is specifically interested in. It will allow them to see what you offer. At the end of the article you can place a resource box that will tell people about you and point them to where they can learn more information about your product or service. The link should point to your squeeze page.
