Summary: If there is one thing you rarely see highlighted in cell phone design these days, it is edges. However, Motorola's Jewel U9 highlights a series of angles at the bottom of the clamshell to replicate the appearance of a diamond or at least a Ring Pop. The jewel cut design seems to be the top feature of this otherwise seemingly standard handset, but don't scoff at Motorola's reliance on looks here. While looking at one of Moto's other handsets, I noticed two different women pick it up with a smile.
